THL T9 Pro Review – Another Budget Phablet under 100 bucks!

THL T9 Pro Phablet Review : The looks of the new phone seem somewhat similar to “Apple iPhone 5C”, which can be seen as a plus point. It has a high-quality plastic body with less thickness and a fingertip scanner at the back. For its price range, it has a decent display quality. The HD-resolution gives crystal clear picture while having a display of the 5.5-inch screen.

The performance of the device is good. The video chip MaliT720-MP2 and the processor Mediatek MT6737, 1GB RAM ensures smooth running of gaming applications at medium graphics settings. The interface speed is similar to that of Marshmallow Android. 8GB ROM memory with a memory card slot also adds an extra advantage to it.

THL T9 Pro

The front and back camera with 13 and 5-megapixel module respectively does not impress many but with a fairly good amount of light, the pictures come out nice. The battery backup is for about 6 to 8 hours of screen time activities with 3000 mAh battery.

  • 5.5 inches 1280*720 display
  • Mediatek M6737 Soc
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 8 GB ROM
  • 13-megapixel rear camera
  • 5-megapixel front camera
  • 4G LTE Connectivity
  • 3000 mAh battery
  • Fingerprint Sensor
  • Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Design and Build

What THL is offering at such reasonable price is very impressive. The phone looks very original and fresh. Its sleek body is slimmer than a lot of phones available in this category. Wide display screen and curved edges of the phone has made it stand out in the market. The T9 does not have any capacitive home buttons but on-screen navigation keys.

THL 9 Pro Review

While the design of the phone could make its mark, the build of the phone couldn’t prove to be that impressive due to the lighter and slimmer feel it gives.

Hardware & performance

Due to a lot of competition in the entry level market, with newer and cheaper phones coming every other day, I do not see a lot of potential buyers for THL T9. The phone seems to be slow and the touchscreen comes out to be of low resolution.

What impress about this phone is the fingerprint sensor and the quality of the display. The battery also comes up as good news, with a full day battery life.

Camera & Pictures

The camera quality comes out to be a total disappointment; it takes a lot of time to open the camera and to focus it on the picture as well.

  • Lightweight
  • Good fingerprint sensor
  • Impressive display quality
  • Good pricing
  • Fairly good battery

  • Pathetic camera quality
  • Takes a lot of time to get charged
  • Slow interface
  • The autofocus does not work well

Final Verdict & Conclusion

I would like to conclude this review with this one thought that while it might not be breakthrough in its sector, it surely is something to look forward to. The screen size and display is off the charts and it can be a real plus for those who stream a lot of videos and games online. Wait for the next version launch and you would soon have the best of both worlds with this budget friendly gizmo.
